ABOUT

Kirit P. Mehta School of Law

With the legacy of almost 40 years, NMIMS has grown to being not only one of the 10 Bschools in India but also emerged as a multi-disciplinary, multi-campus University at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Indore, Shirpur, Dhule, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chandigarh and fourteen constituent schools that include Management, Family Business, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Commerce, Economics, Law, Science, Liberal Arts, Design, Performing Arts, Mathematical Science and Distance Learning. In addition, we have nine Centers of Excellence as well at the University.

One of the schools is our "Kirit P. Mehta School of Law". The Kirit P. Mehta School of Law (KPMSOL) of SVKM's NMIMS (Deemed-to-beUniversity) Established in the year 2013 approved by the Bar Council of India aims to provide a Law School with global focus and international outreach dedicated to advance human dignity, social and economic welfare, and justice through knowledge of law. Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, NMIMS aims to refine students' competency by engaging them in curricular and extra- curricular activities. Qualified faculties and support staff assist learners to easily integrate into the course and participate in events.

ABOUT THE

Moot Court Committee

The Moot Court Committee was established in 2015 to nurture budding Mooters and instill in them the ability to not just learn, but interpret and apply the law in all situations. The Moot Court Committee works with its diverse range of student members to organise and conduct the Intra and Novice Moot Court competitions, our newly introduced Intra Trial Advocacy Competition and our flagship event - the International Arbitration Moot in the School of Law. It is also responsible for allotting and mentoring students who participate in different National and International Moot Court Competitions throughout the Academic Year.​​

About Us

For the academic year 2025-2026, the committee is headed by its faculty convener Ms. Akansha Kumar, faculty member Ms. Arushi Chauhan; followed by its student convener, Ms. Arushi Saraf and student co-conveners Arnav Singh, Diya Vanigota, Sakshi Kumari & Aatmann Mahapatra.

Hospitality

Hospitality ensures a seamless and enjoyable experience for all by taking vigilant care of participants, managing cafeteria affairs, finding comfortable and accessible accommodation along with much more. The department is headed by Ojas Dighe, Bhoomi Chhedha and Thianne Mistry.

Sponsorship

The Sponsorship Department is committed to building valuable partnerships with leading law firms, corporations, and influential organisations. Through well-crafted proposals and persuasive communication, this team secures the support essential to elevate our events and initiatives. Their work ensures lasting collaborations that benefit both the institution and its sponsors. The department is headed by Shrimayi Iyer.

Security & Technicals

Security and Technicals is committed to ensuring both technological efficiency of our events as well as a safe and orderly environment for all participants and attendees. The team manages venue security while overseeing the technical setup, including audiovisual equipment, live streaming, and digital presentations. The department is headed by Sashank Sundaram and Dhvani Makhija.

Logistics

The Logistics Department manages all logistical aspects of the Competition, which includes setting up venues, handling memorials, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies. Additionally, logistics ensures all essential items for judges and participants are in place. The department is headed by Aaron Jayamon, Neerja Patel & Prasiddhi Agrawal.

Photography

The Photography Department captures the spirit of every event, freezing memorable moments in time. Through the lens, it allows us to relive the highlights and emotions that define our shared experiences. This team, headed by Sayali Pawar and Vira Bagai ensures that every smile, celebration, and story is documented with precision and passion.

Finance

The Finance Department oversees strategic financial planning, accurate budgeting, and effective fund management. With an eye for detail and accountability, this team headed by Pragati Kothari, ensures that every financial decision aligns with the broader goals of the organization. Their meticulous approach keeps our operations running smoothly and sustainably.

Marketing & Design

Marketing & Design is the creative hub of the Moot Court Committee. With a keen eye for design and their noses buried in their laptops all day, the team, headed by Malvika Vachhani, Tanisha Kawli and Japneet Kaur works to capture the essence of the event and share it with the world. With meticulous and diligent trend analysis, the team ensures maximum engagement by producing engaging content that captures the high-value quality of the competition.

Public Relations

The Public Relations department is seeking judges, participants, and mentors to fuel the upcoming competitions. We create a dynamic legal environment for students to hone their courtroom skills, connecting them with experienced professionals. The department is headed by Sarvesh Malay and Divya Priyadarshani.

Research

The Research Department of our Moot Court Committee is instrumental in crafting bench memorials for competitions and refining moot propositions, reflecting a depth of legal analysis and clarity of presentation. Additionally, we play a pivotal role in reviewing moot propositions, ensuring their legal relevance, complexity, and educational value. The department is headed by Mina Bishnoi and Dhruv Menon.

Communications

Communications is tasked with ensuring smooth coordination for fostering the mooting culture, by handling registrations, managing databases, and overseeing both internal and external communications. The department is headed by Vamshi Muchhala and Divya Kaushik.

Creatives

The Creatives Department is where imagination takes shape. From brainstorming concepts to designing impactful visuals and narratives, this team brings life to every idea. Their work adds character and distinction to each project, ensuring it stands out with originality and flair. The department is headed by Saanvi Bagri, Japneet Kaur and Nandini Mehta.

Tabbing

Tabbing ensures accuracy and consistency in the evaluation process across all moots. The team designs structured scoring rubrics, manages digital tabulation systems for efficient and error-free results, and compiles detailed performance data to support selections and feedback. The department is headed by Pia Varma and Sanvi Puranik.
